tysolna: (annoyed kid in helmet)
I wish I knew what the people in the flat above me are doing.
I've been hearing renovation noises there for the past three weeks - just as a reminder, my parents managed to redecorate my flat in three days, and had a lot of time left over each day for other things; working by myself, I had the bedroom done in a weekend; the flat is not that big. Anyway, there have been scratchings in the kitchen, as if they were colouring the walls, and also on my kitchen ceiling, where I've heard crackling noises, who knows what they're doing there. Strange noises are coming from the living room ceiling, sometimes it sounds as if they are playing marbles, sometimes it's small hammerings, occasionally a drill. The bedroom resounds with weird tappings.
I wouldn't mind at all, but these noises continue until well after midnight, and it's starting to get annoying when I try to sleep.
One week, ok. Two weeks, well it takes time when one is also working. Three weeks? Come on!

I just heard something on the BBC, which I still need to confirm, saying that they're going to re-work Shakespeare's "Romeo & Juliet" which is about to be played at the London Globe, because it glorifies knife crime.
If this is true, and if they are going to do that, I would like to put to record that I have now lost all my faith in the human race.

edith: Apparently, it's true: here and here.

Proof that love knows no borders.

PS: Sorry if the sound is awful, I cannae hear it at work. ;)
