Ave! Ubi est McDonald's?
Nov. 8th, 2008 10:21 amAnd after getting Internet, there was silence... ;) Well yes, I admit I was catching up on a lot of things, going all child-in-a-sweetshop again. It's akin to getting back into a place you once lived in and having to look around if everything is still there. Vaguely akin. And of course, I had to get back into SecondLife, which was also still there. I stayed there last night until my eyes went to sleep, and I followed, sooner than I used to in the olden days of student-dom.
Today is a day of socializing in real life, which when all is said an done is the preferred alternative. I shall go medieval on my kitchen in order to serve a (semi-)medieval dinner to
idahoswede,
jes6ica and her other half, and I hope that my mad cooking skillz haven't left me.
Oh, and a nice surprise by my grocery delivery last night - they were late, and I got a voucher again. I was so happy I dropped the cream, which of course spread out over my carpet. Now I'm taking a break from all the preparations to drink some coffee, have a Nutella toast (both toast and Nutella were special foodstuffs in my youth, since my mom quite rightly believed that a) toast was not as nutritious as a good slice of bread and b) Nutella was far too sweet, and so it was a rare pleasure to get them. Now that I am grown-up, I find I am still childish enough to enjoy a Nutella toast now and then), and then get a chicken.
Wahey!
