On the other hand...

... I'm one of the lucky ones: I was at home yesterday. Other people were at work when the power failed, or caught in non-moving trains, or stuck in traffic jams, or in shops with the tills not working, nor the security systems. I wonder how much was stolen yesterday.
The weather's no better today, yet people have to go to work, shops are open, and a surprising number of people are walking around the city centre, apparently christmas shopping.
To all who have to venture outside: Stay safe, and avoid oncoming busses.
Oh yes, HTML class took place today, as there were 50% of attendees there (which means, 4 out of 8). Since the Internet refused to work (due to a router reset because of the power failures, according to the school's tech person), we decided to cut the class short and meet again when the 'net works. Good people in the class, too, so it'll be fun to meet them again.
