I'm in the V&A, because I figured that if I go to the area anyway for my second-to-last Prom, I might as well make a day of it. Who knows how it'll end, what with the tube strike tonight.
There is a new medieval gallery open, and joined a tour there, which was fascinating.
Today's image is from those galleries: candlesticks, about hand high, one in the form of a siren, the other in the shape of an elephant and castle. Neither beast had been seen by the artist.
