Building snowmen on the roof
Jan. 2nd, 2010 11:40 pmWould you believe it is snowing again here? I can barely look out of my bedroom window - it's in a slanted roof and snowed over - and I am collecting snowballs off the tiles and throwing them down onto the empty street while in the distance, people are laughing.
I'm also starting to check both airport websites; if it continues like this tomorrow, chances are one of them could be closed on Monday morning and I'll be stuck. I hope not, as duty calls.
I finally watched the finale of Doctor Who. Now I can't wait until next spring. I'm going to miss Tennant (and I for one loved the finale), but at the same time I look forward to Smith. Oh, and thank you RTD for bringing Who back, for Daleks vs Cybermen, for Torchwood, for Sarah Jane Smith. Thank you for Eccleston and Tennant, and making me watch other things like Second Coming and Casanova. Thank you for making me experience for the first time the "trauma of regeneration" from an active viewer's point of view.
And now, welcome Grand Moff. ;)
Of course, watching Who drove home that it's the end (but the moment has been prepared for) of the Christmas holidays. I've been so active for the past week, meeting old friends and having a laugh, that today I fell into a slight hole. I think it's time I got back home and got on with stuff. After I unpack what will undoubtedly be a bigger suitcase than I arrived with.
