Things can only get better.
Jul. 31st, 2009 07:25 amMy sofa will be delivered today. Yes, there shall be pictures.
I have been to the rental agent (her colleague by the way sounds exactly like Christopher Eccleston, I could sit in their office all day just listening to him talk on the phone), and things were cleared up. I now have a copy of the rental agreement. The litigation letter was received by my agent with a sigh - in fact, when I came into the office, she was on the phone with the gas company discussing a problem so similar to mine that for a moment I thought it was my flat they were talking about. So that is going to be dealt with by the agent. And finally, they will arrange for a plumber to fix my tap, the bill will go straight to the agent and they will forward it to my landlord.
I think there is something to be said for rental agencies.
Oh, and apparently my flat was inspected yesterday - I say apparently, because although she told me she would be here, that it's something they do regularly and since she's in the next door flat anyway doing an inspection (yes, my neighbours did move out), she would do that at the same time, but I can see no trace, no note, nothing. So I assume I passed the inspection.
All I am waiting for now is the cheque from New Cross Council Tax, which will be chased again on Monday (I do love the fact that because of my work, I am learning how to write official letters without having to think about the phrasing much). Oh, and the call from the delivery people about when they will be here with my sofa.
