When I have a little money, I buy books.
Mar. 12th, 2009 02:51 pmI just spent half of my lunch hour walking around Bisto, exploring a little, looking at all the nice little shops and the interestingly varied architecture and the lettings agency windows. I then discovered even more reasons for me to move here.
There is not only an Oxfam and a British Heart Foundation shop which sell second-hand books. There is also a Hospice charity shop, another charity shop the name of which escapes me right now which means I've never heard of the charity before, and yet another biggish charity shop which is completely dedicated to books, visual media and music.
I now own Ovid's "Metamorphoses", the "Mabinogion", and Arthur C. Clarke's "Childhood's End". All for the price of a sandwich.
I love Bisto.
