Happy New Year
Jan. 2nd, 2009 03:52 pm... or, as Gauguin said to van Gogh, "Happy New Ear".
Not the best joke in the world, more something of a groaner, but one I had in my mind for days now.
Anyway! 2009 ishear here. 2008 was a year of change, I wonder what 2009 will be. The strange thing is, at the moment I really have to remind myself that I'll be flying back to London in a couple of days. I am so settled in here again, old habits and ways reasserting themselves, London feels like a dream right now. But then I look at my flat keys, and my oyster card, and my office's keycard, and I believe it again.
Mum bought me a new coat today, she said she can't see my dufflecoat any more. Now I have a red woolen coat. I like red.
I will probably go through my wardrobe and other storage spaces today, to try and put together the things I will want to take with me this time. Probably a handful of books, a sweater or two, small stuff. If I need to move again this year, I don't want to have to take more with me than I have to.
2009. Bring it on.
