Me Day

There's the sound of small plane engines over the skies of Greenwich today. I had initially thought they were WWII planes, but it turns out it's the Red Bull Air Race.

This morning, I was woken up by the resident cat. At first he was only meowing, which I could ignore pretty well since I was at that time more or less fast asleep. Then he walked up to me on the bed, purring and demanding pettings. Still half asleep, I scritched him between the ears for a couple of minutes and thought that that was that, only to be more rudely woken up when he threw the mouse off the table (the computer mouse, that is), which landed in a clatter and the rolling of the battery. OK then, I thought, I'll feed you and then fall back into bed, which I did. He seemed happy, but I was stunned when I had a look at the clock - it was three in the morning.
Well never mind, back into bed I did crawl, and had a good sleep until he demanded food again at ten.
Today, no plans at all except for some reading and computer playing. The DLR is closed again for engineering works, and I don't feel like travelling anyway. It's just going to be me today, and Kitty and Ginger.

I'm currently listening to my North Germany home's radio station NDR2 via the Internet. The playlist hasn't changed from the last time I heard it months ago. I have yet to decide if that is scary, sad, or just a sign that although I feel like I've been in London forever, I've not really been gone that long.

There is something that is different however - the newsreaders speak a lot slower than I remember.
