This, that, candles and cakes
Mar. 15th, 2008 10:44 amIt's brilliant, this is - while the desktop computer is slugging away burning discs and ripping my CD collection as mp3s to take with me, I can do other stuff with the lappy. And no, I've not decided on a name yet, I still need to find out the character of this piece of technology. Although I'm saying "No!" to it a lot when once again, it does things I don't want it to or can't figure out why it does what it does.
I have been around a lot of places yesterday, cancelling things, like the bank order for my share of our band's rehearsal room, or my enrolment at University. I am no more a student, and for some reason, that has surprised me by hitting me rather hard, even though to be honest, I was only a pro forma student anyway.
When I was in London, I thought about old friends a lot, and one in particular. I was imagining what she would have said to the developments in my life, and I believe she would have cheered me on - I could almost read what she would have typed in reply to my enthusiastic posts about the changes happening to me. Today is her birthday. I still miss her terribly.
