In Soviet Russia, cold has you.
Oct. 7th, 2007 03:25 pmThe thing about ignoring the fact that you've got a cold is that, sooner or later, the cold will be back with a vengeance. Once more, my voice is gone; I can barely croak, and even that hurts like hell. But, thinking back on what I did the past two days, it was certainly worth it.
Friday, I did some shopping therapy after work; I bought a book (like that's news); I was also very spontaneous and bought myself two silver rings, one with... Oh hang on, these are the things digital cameras were made for.
( One ring to rule them all... cut for picspam. )
Why did I buy two rings? Because I couldn't decide which one I liked best. And I whittled these two out from five I initially chose.
For dinner, I had a marvellous Pizza Frutti di Mare; and then, I went to the theatre to see Verdi's Otello. Which was bloody fantastic. I mean, I like Verdi anyway, but this is... bliss, pure and simple. Just look at this:

Of course, no visit to the theatre is complete without a drink or two with my friends from on stage, groupie that I am, and so it came to pass that I was at home at about half past two.
Yesterday, I sold weird stuff from noon to ten in the evening, and was so into a zone that I didn't even see a friendly visitor who told me that after work, it was time for drinks. Long Island Ice Tea ftw. And so it was, and again, I was home at about two o'clock.
And now my voice is gone again, and I feel like I want to stay in bed all day, drink tea, and read, read, read. My body may have a cold, but my brain's pretty hot. ;)
