Reality. Weirder than the imagination.
Jul. 9th, 2007 12:51 pmThere is a brand of ice cream for dogs. Really.
OK, so I can't speak for dog owners for obvious reasons, but even if there were a brand of ice cream for cats, I wouldn't buy it. First of all, there's probably a lot of stuff in there I wouldn't want my cat to ingest. And second, ice cream for cats? *shakes head*
Out cat will happily eat small amounts of vanilla flavoured "human" ice cream when given as a treat (no chocolate though or other flavours; cats are picky eaters after all), but he prefers plain yoghurt or a little dollop of butter. Even if he's curious to sniff at or try things his humans eat, he'll mostly be satisfied to know what it is and that he doesn't like it.
He did, however manage to hunt, kill and devour a young rabbit last night. It was him; mum saw him bring it into the part of the garden he considers belonging to the house, and all that was left this morning were a bit of rabbit fur and paws. At least the rabbit didn't die in vain, and we're saving on food.
I'm actually out of practice after three weeks of not writing English. Who'd have thunk?
