tysolna: (icecream bliss)
Yesterday, I didn't stop doing. First, drove with a friend to a music flea market. Bought myself a new bow for the violin, since mine is crooked by now and besides, you can always use a extra bow. Then, I fell in love, or at least lust, with an e-violin: it had in-built microphone and jack, loudness and tone regs, a mellow sound, and it was green. A green e-violin. I tell you, if I had had the 80 euros at hand, I would have bought it, no second thoughts. But, I didn't, so I lusted in vain. It's not that I don't have a very good instrument here, but it would have been very handy in the band, and imagine, me on stage with a green e-violin. Oh well.

Then, after a quick lunch, I activated my spending gene and went to ye olde flower shoppe to buy herbs for planting. And I was in luck: They had pots of herbs on offer for a mere 50 cent. So I got thyme, dill, rosemary, basil, oregano and sage and some new earth. And a whitish-pink giant daisy-like plant for my desk, after again lusting, this time for a wonderful passion flower which would have exceeded my budget but looked stunning. Debated getting strawberry plants for 70 cent each, but where would I plant them? I did spend some time looking at the pelars, but there were none which matched the beauty of those in the pictures of [livejournal.com profile] idahoswede.

Got home, got into work clothes, went into the garden. The first thing I did there was get rid of the upper four centimetres of earth on the herb bed, which was full of little stones and yuck. I hope it's going to rain soon, the earth is not so much earth but dust. Then, did a little digging, got the wild flowers out, got the new earth in and spread that around. Moved one of the struggling parsleys next to the other, then got the new plants planted. There's now a herb bed which should make our kitchen happy (parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme, dill, basil, oregano, chives and lemon balm). Fingers crossed.

And finally, I did the clothes audit: Got everything out of the wardrobe, straightened stuff, put the winter knits into storage, got the t-shirts and blouses out, sorted out a few items, tried on a few things, remembered why I need to loose weight again, put everything in order.

Is it any wonder that I fell asleep early last night and didn't wake up until nine in the morning, even with the cat jumping in and out of the window?
