I was at a friend's spontaneous "I still have beer left over from my birthday which needs drinking and incidentally it's the eve of May 1st"-party last night, to which even more spontaneously a neighbour's party merged (they brought their own beer, and what's more, they brought Tequila). And as spontaneously, I drove to said party by bike, and back again too. After not sitting on a bike for at least a year, and not riding regularly for at least ten. But there are some things you never forget how to do, among them riding bikes. And besides, I also remembered that it's fun to ride a bike, as well as a very quick and easy way of travelling.
No chance sleeping in this morning, because the flat needed cleaning. Good thing I remembered to take an aspirin and drink a lot last night. My aunt and uncle arrived today; they and my parents will be driving off into the sunrise on Sunday, or rather into the southeast. They have once again rented a caravan and will go to France. Which means that I'll have the house to myself for five weeks, and the cat will have ample time to hide dead mice in every room.
Last night's party, today's cleaning and this evening's welcome drink is making me very sleepy indeed, and this after this afternoon's nap, too. Ye gods, I'm tired. I just have to remember that when I wake up tomorrow, it is Wednesday, and not Monday.
