Make your garden grow
Jun. 7th, 2006 03:31 pmWe're neither pure, nor wise, nor good
We'll do the best we know.
We'll build our house and chop our wood
And make our garden grow.
Me vs. Weeds In Front of our House United: 2:0.
Me vs. The Ants Under The Steps: 0:1. I had forgotten that the buggers bite.
Although, I have to say, Weeds United are a worthy foe. I have to admire something that is tenacious enough to cling to life on a speck of earth-like dust no larger than my fingernail. And not only cling to life, but burrow those roots deep enough to be almost impossible to dislodge. I know for sure that they will be back after the next rain, growing on the same speck of dust, because nature is like that. Wonderful.
Edit: Me vs. The Sun: 0:1. Yep, my arms are sunburnt as I forgot that little pale me was working directly under southern exposure around noon.
