April Weather
Apr. 2nd, 2006 12:31 pmI love Pre-Raffaelite painters. This month's picture on my Pre-Raffaelite Painting Calendar shows a red-haired woman dressed in green velvet, violin bow in one hand, idly plucking a violin with the other, face looking into the distance with what I suspect is supposed to be a melancholy, wistful expression which to me, franky, looks as though she's bored.
The violin is the only thing connecting me to the woman in the painting.
Yesterday, I got rained on and thundered at. Someone wiped the floor with me playing pool, and I lost my table football title by one goal. I hope my grasp of spoken English improves and my German accent, cute though it may be, recedes. Though hopefully not to be replaced by a RP accent. Mancunian's much nicer stuff.
It seems to become something of a lazy sunday today, with the rain tapping on the windows, the heating on, and nowhere one has to go to, either today or tomorrow. There's Doctor Who on TV - unsurprisingly. There's food in the fridge, tea in the mugs, and good company. What else does a body need?
Tomorrow, there may be excitement on the horizon. Today, we chill.
