Every sense has something that will comfort the person. The smell of a nice perfume, the taste of hot milk with honey, the feeling of velvet, the sound of beautiful music or a friend's voice, seeing a sunset. That's what life is all about, as someone once said.
There are various things that comfort me - there's comfort food, like semolina pudding with cocoa, and there are also comfort movies, that I watch when I am sick, or want to relax, and which simply get me into a cosy, comforted mood. Among those movies are 'L.A. Story', for some forgotten reason, and 'Princess Bride' - understandable, I think - and, for the last few years, the Lord of the Rings trilogy, extended version, with all the trimmings.
And tea. Let's not forget tea.
What's your comfort? (and if you say Southern, I'll kick you! :-D )
