Thanks, [livejournal.com profile] dadi, I'll get you for that. :-P

The 5 Weird Habits Tag Meme
Ground Rules: The first player of this "game" starts with the topic "5 weird habits" and people who get tagged need to write a LJ entry about their 5 quirky habits as well as state this rule clearly. In the end, you need to choose the next 5 people to be tagged and list their names.

Right, then. Beware, I'm only slightly weird.

1. When doing the dishes, after opening a cupboard I can only close it when everything that's been washed is put away, even when it's the last thing to be dried and the open door gets in my way.

2. Before boarding a plane, I need to touch its outer hull (the most likely spot is to the right of the open door).

3. I very much dislike open doors, especially when I sit with my back towards them. Hence, I usually close, or at least lean to, the door to a room I am in.

4. I like quoting things - lines from movies, books, song lyrics or TV shows - which is a habit I share with my mom, and which is always a source of frustration when the people I quote stuff to don't 'get it'.

5. A weird habit I used to have and which I suppressed mercilessly, but which still occasionally rears its ugly head, is the habit of making silly sounds (purring tribbles, the roadrunner, other cartoon characters, sheep, birds, robots, you name it) at the most inopportune and impossible times. I just couldn't stand the raised eyebrows any more.

...and the five people whose weird habits I would like to know are:

Another great, long project is starting (like I don't have enough of them already). I finally managed to record records ("that vinyl stuff with two sides" for all you young'uns) onto my PC. The old computer wouldn't do it, and the laptop for some reason records everything a lot faster than it is (though not higher, as a musician would expect, but then, it's digital, not tape).
Anyway. I can now listen to my old vinyls over the PC speakers, and record many an old favourite that I haven't heard in ages to mp3. Hooray!
And why is this a great, long project?
Because I have something between 300 and 500 LPs.
