Music, all I hear is music
Oct. 8th, 2005 10:41 pmI am still at the venue we played our gig at; at the moment the second band of the night, a Rhythm & Blues-Band, is playing.
And what a gig we played! Loud, full of energy, on a comfortably large stage so we could move around and interact (not like last time), and with lots of fun. Oh yes, and I messed up my first solo - I have no clue what I played in Raggle Taggle Gypsies. Luckily, our singer recorded the whole thing. I'm looking forward to hearing it.
Tomorrow, I'll be beat, and have a headache. I barely saw the audience, as there were a lot of bright and very very hot lights, which of course made my violin throw tuning curves. And of course I broke down and had a smoke, being rather nervous. I will have to remember to take an Aspirin and drink lots of water before going to bed. Whenever that will be.
It is an incredible high being on stage. I love it. Why did I worry? We are a band. More of this, please!
The only downside to tonight's gig was that it made me miss the premiere of Nabucco at the local theatre. I wonder how that went.
edit: Yes, I am a geek for finding an internet computer and updating this immediately after the gig. :-D
