Nul Points

It's bloc bloody voting. What's the use in having the contest at all if the results are so foreseeable?
Oh, and I am not in the least surprised that Turkey gets 12 points from Germany.

But - Finland? THAT is surprising.

But could anyone (aside from me, of course) have foreseen a death metal band from Finland romping to victory?

Doctor Who was rather brilliant tonight, btw.

Yep...Terry Wogan got it right when he was commenting on all the geographical/political voting going on. He's so dry :) 'Oh, I wonder who the Ukraine are going to give the 12 to...oh, Russia, there's a surprise...' etc.

I sometimes think it should be a rule that countries can't vote for any country it shares a border/some kind of agenda with :) I mean, Ireland gave the UK quite a few points and our entry was rubbish.

Go Lordi, though - I think they're hilarious but I really didn't expect them to win!

Is it really suprising that countries vote in blocks? Afterall cultural diffussion and all that - is it not just possible that the Balkan states share similar tastes in music? The Brits take the piss out of Eurovision because we haven't won it ages but I reckon secretly we love its kitsch value...

Here's the way to pick the weener. Release them all into the wild and the biggest sales win. Home countries don't... ah, what the hell do I care.
