tysolna: (what is this I don't even)
Two very elaborate dreams last night!

The first one was drifting slightly towards nightmare, in that everything that could go wrong did. It started with me coming home (to a block of flats very much unlike mine) to find that the flat below me had flooded, and the landlord was pinning it on me, intending to hit me with the cost of repairs and increasing my rent. That's when my elbows started hurting, and when I looked at them I found the skin on it was a mass of large blisters (a bit like these stress balls, only clear). Icky, and burning like hell. I immediately went to a hospital, something which involved a ride in a stolen car through a city filled with Zombies.
In hospital, being treated for the burning blisters on my elbows, for some reason my humanity was in doubt. The doctor thought I was an android, and an alien android spy at that, and started to disassemble me. This ended in me falling down into a tunnel, from which I woke up screaming - into the hospital dream (so it was a dream within a dream!). My elbows were still burning, though, and this time I woke up for real, to find that I was lying on my stomach and my hands were trapped underneath my chest, the elbows pointing into the mattress and really hurting. Half-awake, I turned around and went back to sleep.

The second dream was a lot more fun: An opera production set on a 1920s cruise ship. The opera was Verdi's "Un ballo in maschera", and the cruise ship was an intricate set (think Agatha Christie, "Death on the Nile", style-wise). That it was a set I knew because I was able to walk around outside - it was an elaborate array of containers stuck in a disused quarry. It felt Big Brother-ish (the TV show, not the novel), in that none of the actors who were inside could go out; I was the only one and the go-between between the people inside and the directors outside, kind of like an assistant director. I was also the host / captain of the cruise ship, a very weird combination, but it worked.
Among the actors involved (I think the dream had by then drifted off the idea of this being an opera production) were Clint Eastwood, Patrick Stewart, Maggie Smith, and others I could not readily identify, as well as a handful of minor actors who were maids, cooks, butlers and so on. All the major actors were in character, the minor ones were aware that this was a TV production. The cruise ship took off while we were still dressing the set, and I went to bed below decks, exhausted, only to find that someone had burned holes through the hull of the "ship" with cigarette butts. While I was still extinguishing the smouldering butts, my alarm clock went off. Too bad, really, I wonder how this one would have gone on.

On another note, it was good that I went for that walk yesterday, today is overcast and not very nice.
