Ja mach noch einen Plan,
sei nur ein grosses Licht,
dann mach noch einen zweiten Plan,
geht'n tun 'se beide nicht.

I did go to the rental agent, then walked around a bit in the wonderful sunshine before doing my shopping, and lots of. I had noticed before that during the day, there is a continuous line of taxis at the exit of Sainsbury's, waiting for shoppers with big bags to take them home. Now, I could of course book a delivery of groceries, which would cost me between £3.50 and £5.50. But I don't want fresh produce to be chosen by someone else, and so I took the opportunity to stock up on a lot of things and take a taxi home, for £5.00 (including tip).

After lunch, I watched an old episode of Star Trek for reference's sake, wrote for an hour, and then decided to have a half-hour lie-down, feeling sleepy. The half hour turned into three - seems I needed it.

But today, I feel refreshed, and after breakfast, will go back to the keyboard. Half a story's already written, with the tentative title "Truth and the Medicine Man", but it needs a point to it still.
tysolna: (tea)
So I thought, yeah, pot of tea would hit the spot on a Saturday afternoon. The people who used to live in the flat before me left a bright yellow teapot behind (which, incidentally, is also on the inventory list). Got it out of storage, washed it inside and out, warmed it, boiled water, put teabags into the pot (for want of loose-leaf tea), poured the boiling water in, saw a spreading puddle below the pot.
Yep. It leaks.
Will see if I can get myself a new teapot on Monday. Meanwhile, will settle for mugs. And maybe plant something in the old teapot.
