Much better (and on a Monday, too!)
Jun. 8th, 2009 02:59 pmMan, a weekend in bed certainly recharges one's batteries, even if my bad conscience was nagging me to "do something". It's not like I spent both days in bed, exclusively, but I did take it easy - very little computer time, no TV; instead, books, audiobooks and pyjamas all day. Boring, maybe, but rather blissful. It also put work matters in perspective.
Which is good, because today seems to be Friday the 13th (not that I am in any way superstitious). The little fridge I bought for the office to keep milk and small things cool in refuses to work after a week. I didn't put the kettle in the right way and the coffee overflowed. And finally, just now, the zip on my favourite pair of jeans broke.
But. I'll find a receipt or similar and return the fridge. The coffee machine I'll clean up once it cools down and it'll be as good as new. The zip I might be able to repair.
I also stole a small stylized yellow plush giraffe from BossBaby's jungle mobile (I don't think he'll notice) and put it on my desk. Why? Because it makes me smile when I look at it.
