A couple of bits and bytes
Jan. 7th, 2008 06:52 pmEven though I had to get up early today, I watched TV late last night, because I've always wanted to see that documentary and these things aren't shown any earlier. I watched Super Size Me. I'm telling you, watching this on the first day of a diet is so wonderfully perfect, because at first, you think "oooh yummy hamburger", same as Morgan Spurlock himself. And at the end, you never want to see another hamburger in your life. I'd rather have the Quinoa dish his girlfriend was cooking. Now that looked yummy.
Although I wasn't as surprised as the Doctors seemed to be that Spurlock got addicted to Maccy D's. I only wish it were as easy to get addicted to healthy things (like good food and exercise) as it is to unhealthy things (like cigarettes and chocolate).
The past few days, between work and studies, I made my way through the archive of Girl Genuis, an online comic set in a steampunk universe, complete with airships, mad scientists and their weird and wonderful creations. A great find for me, although I am quite certain a few on my friend's list have been reading it for years.
The other day, I was in SL and took a portrait picture of my avatar. Looking at it, I realized that I didn't model my avatar as much on my real looks as I thought. In fact, my avatar looks a lot like my mother when she was 25, with a hint of my face. I wonder what Freud would say to that.
