As the year goes by...
Nov. 4th, 2005 05:47 pmChristmas stuff has been in the shops since September this year. Christmas cookies are nowadays designated "autumn cookies", and that's that. I wonder how they will call chocolate Santas next. Fall Guy?
Anyway, it seems to me more and more as if we city dwellers who are not in touch with the rhythms of nature any more need some reminder of what the season is, and that reminder can be found where we spend our money. The year's cycle for homo capitalis (thanks,
xhirra) would look thus, at least from where I'm sitting:

Add to that personal holidays such as birthdays, wedding anniversaries and similar, and repeat the next year.
