It probably has a lot to do with the fact that they're selling a razor. Blades in-and-of-themselves are badass and cool, but for reasons that can't really be shown in public advertisement. So they have to amp it up.

It's entirely visual. Watching a man shave isn't really that fun, and neither is shaving itself, honest; but shaving in space? With a razor that looks sleek and fast and awesome like a space ship? Fuck yeah.
